Reminder of Club Championship

PISTOL MATCH REMINDER

ANNUAL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP PISTOL MATCH SATURDAY OCTOBER 6, 2018, at 10:00 AM at our club.

Remember that you must be present at SAFETY BRIEFING (10:00 AM SHARP) to be eligible to shoot the match. When whistle blows for safety briefing it’s too late to sign up and shoot.

PISTOL RANGE CLOSES AT 8:30 AM to allow setup.
Bring at least 150 rounds of ammo.
Usually finished in 3 hrs. Bring a sandwich and a drink and enjoy the day.
Open to members, invited guests, and members may bring buddy.

Note to ALL SHOOTERS: must have eye and ear protection on range and EMPTY weapon in a case, pistol pouch or gun rug and is never presented until safety officer in your squad gives you range command to load and make ready.

Safety area for malfunctions and function check. NO AMMO IN SAFETY AREA EVER!

You may load magazines and handle ammo anywhere on range but SAFETY AREA.

Try to be at range by 9:00 AM to assist with setup and to sign in so we may begin promptly.

Match fee $15.00.

Rimfire Match Sat, Sept 15th

Sept 15 at 10 am we will be having a RIMFIRE Sucker Match. Shots will be at 50 Yards for Factory rifles,100 Yards for Custom guns. 5 blow pop suckers and 5 dum dum suckers. Blow pop is worth 1 point dum dum are worth 2 points. Shooter with most points wins. $10 a match winner gets 50% club gets 50%. It’s a fun match for all.

P.S. WE WILL HAVE A VERY DIFFERENT AND CHALLENGING (weather permitting) 5th stage this month. YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS IT.

5TH Stage Bonus optional, free to match competitors and score does not count in match. We do this for fun and to expose our shooters to other shooting formats.

5TH Stage Shooters only. You may bring and wear magazine pouches or load off of barrels for this stage.

Notice to .22LR shooters, BRING A CENTER FIRE HANDGUN WITH AT LEAST A 6 shot capacity and 20-25 rds. of 9mm or bigger and spare mags or speed loader (there will be 2 reloads on the clock this month) for the 5th stage this month.

Please make note of the following changes to the upcoming Rimfire matches.

August 18th IR 50/50 Rimfire match has been changed to a regular club Rimfire match.

September 15th IR 50/50 Rimfire match has been changed to a regular club Rimfire match.

October 27th IR 50/50 Rimfire match has been changed to a regular club Rimfire match.

We have RESCHEDULED our REGULAR 1ST Saturday monthly Steel Action Shoot to AUGUST 11, 2018 at 1:00 PM at our club.

Please tell your fellow shooting friends of this change. Hopefully, everyone will get the word and not show up on August 4th.

Bluegrass State Games

Sarah here from the Bluegrass Sports Commission. I would like to invite the Montgomery County Fish and Game Club and its members to participate in the shooting matches that we are hosting on July 15th for smallbore rifle, July 22th for high power rifle, national match course, and sharpshooting at the Anderson County Sportsmen’s Club. Pistol divisions will be held on July 28th at the Boyle County Fish and Game Club.

As the event is coming up quickly, we urge you to contact your shooters who would be interested in competing. Feel free to email me back for further information or any questions you may have.
