Thanks to every one who participated in the workday we got several things accomplished. The club house looks great. Several members helped Marijka Walker get the inside looking and Smelling new. We repaired all the rifle and pistol targets. Built a bench at the pistol range and made several new archery targets.

A HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO WORKED SO HARD AT THE CLUB THIS WEEK! We now have a new pistol range, a second trap with proper clearance for targets, a bow range, and WATEREvery day this past week, several members spent hours laying out the new pistol range and building its shed, as well as building the roof over the 2nd trap.  Today a large crew of volunteers cleared trees near the 2nd trap, installed electric in the 2nd trap building, spread gravel for the new pistol range and both traps, built pistol targets, cleared and set up the new bow range, repaired the final problems with the water line (Rumpke repaired other problems earlier in the week), and probably more I'm not aware of. Everyone brought supplies and tools, even ATVs and trailers to ferry people and supplies. One of the most important accomplishments was a professional survey of our property, and we deeply appreciate Arlie Caudill for spending his day on this project.

Our 2010 AIMS program begins on Monday, March 29 at 6:00pm. The range will be closed during that time. Please contact Ted Bilbrey if you know of a young person who would like to learn to shoot trap.

UPDATE:  We have acquired a new commercial exhaust for the kitchen (at a generously discounted price) and will install it soon. We would still appreciate the donation of a Hood and a small cash register.

MEMBERSHIP NEWS

> Our monthly meeting is the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm. This is your opportunity to voice your opinions and make suggestions for improvements.

>  As of 2010, all memberships will be Working Memberships: each member will be required to assist at one Friday night trap shoot and one Saturday workday.* The Friday night trap shoots provide most of our income and keep our dues low, yet only a few members volunteer to help. In addition, those same few members provide most of the maintenance on our property, and our low dues prevent us from hiring help. Therefore, the Board has decided to solve these issues with working memberships rather than raising our dues. The range and clubhouse are OUR responsibility, and we ALL need to take care of the property. Sign up for your workdays with your membership renewal, or contact Marijka Walker at (859) 498-4786 or marijka.walker@att.net; early signups will have the most choice. The confirmed schedule is posted on the Workdays tab.

*Members unable to commit to the two workdays may instead pay $75 annual dues. The additional income will allow us to hire help to maintain and improve the facilities, as well as have assistance during the weekly trap shoots.

> As of now, there will be no partial year memberships or grace period. All memberships are for the calendar year of January 1 to December 31. Any memberships started during the year will expire on the next December 31.

> Contact Ted Bilbrey if you're interested in a ladies-only trap shoot.
